A ground-breaking ceremony of Educare Lake County, a new early learning program operated by Start Early and developed in close partnership with local leaders, providers, and families was held at the construction gate entrance located on Bethel Blvd. between Zion Central Middle School and the Park District Golf Course.

The ceremony was attended by Superintendent Dr. Lawson, select ZESD 6 school board members and staff, along with local Zion leaders, contributors, and providers.

Brief remarks from leaders and partners included:
Diana Rauner, President, Start Early
John Schreiber, Schreiber Philanthropy
Dr. Julious Lawson, Superintendent, Zion Elementary District 6
Billy McKinney, Mayor of Zion
Juan Moreno, President & Founder of JGMA
Celena Sarillo, Executive Director, Start Early Illinois

This milestone reflects years of collaboration and shared commitment to strengthening opportunities for young children across in Lake County.

It was a time of celebration for this meaningful step forward and the partnerships that made it possible.
